Re-Start of Blog

I started this blog over a year ago and failed to do any updates; I am now retired and I have no excuses now about doing some posts. First a little about me. I started taking photos as a kid. I worked my way up to a Pentax system with two bodies and a number of lenses. I even did some darkroom work; built a darkroom in my basement when I was a kid. As I grew older I lost interest in photography; it wasn't until about 16 years ago that I was on vacation in Mexico on a day trip to an island that we saw some whales. My wife had her small point and shoot camera but I lamented the fact that I was not doing photography and missed my Pentax with my telephoto lenses. I then started looking at the Digital Single Lens Reflex cameras that were on the market at the time. Pentax didn't have a DSLR out yet so I landed on Canon as a brand and I have been loyal ever since. Once the Canon DSLR's starting taking video I wanted to jump into that big time, so I sold my Canon T1i which didn't do HD video to upgrade to the Canon T2i which I am using now. In addition to land photography I also got re-certified as a scuba diver and I love taking underwater pictures; but I will leave that story to another post. After I retired I decided that I wanted to take more video so I have started a wedding video business. I have yet to perform my first paying job but I have done one wedding for family which is what started me down this path.
